Acrylic paint is ideal for this, as its quick-drying nature allows for fast, layered, and spontaneous creation, letting you add, change, or obscure details to match your inner feelings rather than just the reality of the photo.
Emotional Translation: I translate the visual data of a photograph into a felt experience. This technique bridges the gap between what is seen and what is felt, often moving toward a more abstract or emotive, rather than strictly realistic, representation.

I have a BFA from the School of Visual Arts where I majored in Filmmaking. There I learned to exam frame by frame, and now canvas by canvas, still imagery and what it evokes.
